Hey guys, Smooze 1 5 4 – rediscover your mouse ears.
I am a complete noob when it comes to streaming, so please bear with me as I work through some of these issues. My paper boat 4 9 1. I've gotten all of the visual kinks worked out and we are lookin' good, but I've yet to conquer the Audio.
Here's what I'm working with:
•HP Laptop with i7, Duo Core, 16GB RAM, SSHD
•Canon Vixia HF R800 ->Magewell X100USB to HDMI

Like I said, I've got the video dialed in, but no luck with the audio. We have a full band who are amazing, so I want them to sound as great as possible online.
I want to send the output directly to wirecast from our X32, but have not gotten it to work at all yet. I downloaded the drivers and the x32 is showing up in the capture devices, but, when selected, there is nothing coming though. It shows that it is receiving something, but there is nothing there. Even if I could get it to work, eventually I would like to move away from using the X-USB card output.
I just ordered THIS, so I am hoping my audio set up will look like:
X32- ->Presonus AudioBox via XLR --> Wirecast 8 via USB.

In theory, should that work? Or is there a better way to do this? What sort of things do I need to be aware of?
